Cholito Empanadas is a family-run business with roots proudly planted in Peru and Vietnam. We grew up surrounded by bold flavours, big family meals, and that beautiful kind of chaos that only happens when good food brings everyone to the table.

Empanadas felt like the perfect canvas — comforting, hand-held, and ready to be filled with creativity. We wanted to offer something nostalgic yet elevated: traditional recipes with global twists, just like our heritage.

In 2022, what began as a small food stall quickly turned into a movement. Pop-ups, catering gigs, and loyal customers asking for more.

What “Cholito” Means

In Peru, “Cholito” is a warm, cheeky nickname. It means “little mixed one” — a reflection of our mixed heritage, playful spirit, and proud Latin roots. To us, it’s a celebration of identity — and a reminder that food doesn’t need borders, only flavour.

Our Empanadas

We make every empanada by hand using buttery shortcrust pastry — no puff, no shortcuts. Each one is golden, crisp, and generously filled with flavours from around the world.

From Traditional Beef (our customer favourite!) to Miso Eggplant, Peanut Stew, and Dulce de Leche, every bite is a nod to where we come from and where we’re going.
